Calling all aspiring NZ Spatial Excellence Awards entrants

It’s time to recognise the achievements of those working at the cutting edge of the spatial profession in this country.

Every year spatial industry innovation results in far-reaching benefits across many different sectors of New Zealand society, yet the organisations and individuals responsible go largely unnoticed.

NZSEA is inviting you to take part in the inaugural New Zealand Spatial Excellence Awards (NZSEA) – a joint venture between the spatial profession, business and government to recognise the industry’s top achievers.

Today the NZSEA organising committee is delighted to announce that entries for this exciting event on 27 November are now open.

The awards are open to all New Zealand spatial professionals and spatial organisations and are divided into two sections – organisational and individual.

In the organisational section there are six categories: export; people and community; innovation and commercialisation; environment and sustainability; spatial enablement; and technical excellence.

In the individual section there are five categories: professional of the year; young professional of the year; undergraduate student of the year; postgraduate student of the year; and education and professional development.

NZSEA winners will also be eligible to enter the Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards (APSEA) in Brisbane next March.

Entries close on 29 August 2014 and all entrants will be notified of the outcome of their submission in October.
