ALGIM 2021 Conference

15 - 17 June 2022

Our Annual Conference is known for its collegial atmosphere providing excellent opportunities to collaborate and network with your peers in-person.

The programme is run by local government, for local government.

The all-encompassing face-to-face conference in 2021 is predicted to be the biggest conference ALGIM has held to date with three streams of presentations running. The programme, spanning three days, will cater for all disciplines: ICT, IRM, GIS, Web & Digital and CX.

NZ Government Data Summit 2022

27 - 29 June 2022

In 2022, the New Zealand government will move to refresh it Data Strategy and Roadmap. The next step to refresh is highlighted at the flagship 4th Annual NZ Gov Data Summit. This summit addresses the key challenges around using data to deliver services, formulate a forward-thinking policy, and make informed decisions to improve the lives of citizens. 

This is an event organized by Public Spectrum and is to be held both in person and live streamed from Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington.

7th July 2022

The 2022 New Zealand Digital Twin Summit will be hosted in Wellington on Thursday 7th July 2022. Policy makers, practitioners and academics will gather for a day of intensive dialog and workshopping tp set direction on building a thriving marketplace for this powerful data activation capability. 

The event is free for Local Government, discounted pricing for Other Public Sector, Universities and Not For Profits, and a Tertiary student offering.

Survey and Spatial Annual Conference

The annual conference is the biggest CPD event of the year for surveying and spatial professionals. It invites the sharing of knowledge amongst peers, bringing together networking opportunities for all delegates and is an essential event for your professional development and connectivity to the sector. This year the Survey and Spatial conference will be held in Rotorua.

GeoCart' 2022

24 - 26 August 2022

GeoCart'2022 aims to bring together a wide cross-section of professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts engaged in cartography, map curatorship and research, geovisualisation, and GIScience. Participants will hear about the latest developments and research, learn about current and upcoming projects and products, network with their counterparts in the greater community, and develop a deeper understanding of cartography and mapping.  To celebrate its landmark 10th anniversary, GeoCart'2022 will feature commemorative presentations and a special restrospective Proceedings.

ALGIM 2022 Conference

21 - 23 November 2022

In November, ALGIM will be holding our 2022 Annual Conference at Te Pae Convention Centre in Christchurch.  This will be a special conference as we will be hosting around 30 international guests working in ICT in local government. 

This is a unique opportunity to network with colleagues across NZ and the globe who are all working in the same sector.  Many great connections are made during this event.
